Agent Manager

Description Agent Manager incorrectly allows you to launch Live Statistics

and Historical Statistics for some data sources

Symptom If you select a VLAN or FDDI LanProbe interface, the menu items for

Live Statistics and Historical Statistics are available when they should

be unavailable.

Details Even though Agent Manager lets you launch them, the Live Statistics

and Historical Statistics applications cannot be used with VLANs and

FDDI interfaces. If you launch one of these applications for a VLAN or

FDDI interface, the application gives you an error message.

Work-Around Do not launch Live Statistics or Historical Statistics applications for

VLANs or FDDI interfaces.

Description File descriptor leak in Agent Manager on Solaris

Symptom After running Agent Manager for an extended period of time on Solaris,

the system may run out of ﬁle descriptors.

Details The version of the Java runtime libraries used by Agent Manager does

not always clean up ﬁle descriptors. [Defect ID 0804–023028]

Work-Around Restart Agent Manager or increase the kernel limit on the number of

open ﬁle descriptors.
