Description HP Probe Conﬁguration messages cannot be read on the smaller

Solaris displays

Details On the smaller 17″ and 19″ Solaris displays, the message box at the bot-

tom of the panel is squeezed to zero height when the screen opens up.

Work Around: Maximize the window. This increased size adds enough to the window so

that the message window is usable.

Description Applications under the Agent Manager menus, Performance,

Conﬁguration, Fault, or Misc could fail to start

Symptom Attempts to run applications from the menus listed in the description

could fail to bring up the appropriate screens, graphs, or tables.

Details If you run applications under the Agent Manager menus Performance,

Conﬁguration, Fault, or Misc the graphs or tables are not displayed.

The behavior of the menus items are unpredictable, some work and some

do not complete the start-up procedures. No error message is displayed

for this error. The applications are not launched due to missing soft link /

usr/OV to /opt/OV. [Defect ID 0804–024554}

Work-Around Do not symbolically link /usr/OV, this directory should only be used by

the NetMetrix applications. If you need to move, or change drives for

your OpenView software, work with /opt/OV.

Description HP Probe Conﬁguration Multiport Token-Ring Lanprobe with

telemetry not at port 1

Details With a Multiport Token-Ring Lanprobe and telemetry port not located on

port 1, HP Probe Conﬁguration cannot conﬁgure port 1.

Work Around: Use the default telemetry port, which is port 1.
