Overview

This is a Flash application with a server backend. This Flash application uploads the documents /

presentations in advance to the server where it renders the slides. During the event, the Flash

application connects to the video stream and the operator / presenter changes the slides. The video is

then streamed to the server and unicast to the client machines that also run a Flash version of

software. The video is automatically recorded on the server synchronised with the slides, ready to be

reviewed instantly after the end of the presentation.

each record. Search is available on the system and goes through all

Hot Topics

ViPS allows the broadcasting of presentations and lectures to hundreds of participants, although it

can also be used as an event collaboration tool, similar to web conferencing. The presenter can enable

audio feedback from participants, while they can also be set as a speaker and talk to the others or ask

questions of the presenter. ViPS also allows for the moderation of questions posted to the presenter in

case there is an overwhelming number of participants and the presenter is not able to follow chat

interaction. The system is in active development and integration with Moodle and several other

systems is planned for the near future.
